The slowest speed is super quiet, perfect for those hot summer days. It is made in china if anyone was wondering.

They're for different purposes really.

The Vornado is for pushing lots of air at once to regulate room temperature, while this is a more traditional fan to keep those sitting in front of it cool, not that it can't regulate room air as well.

The rowenta can also move a good amount of air while staying really quiet, which I really wanted for my home theater room which used to be in a sun room that got both hot and cold depending on the time of year.

A strong Vornado on high can probably move more air, but it would also be a lot louder.

The rowenta can still move a good amount of air on higher settings too, though

I'm so use to paying 20-30 for table top fan. Not to sound stupid but are these worth it compared to a typical oscillating fan?

Why are there so many people in this thread that LOVE these fans? It just strikes me as odd to see it, especially in a staff posted deal.
Shills. It's always the early comments in the first 2 pages

I'm sure this is a decent deal on this fan and there are almost 5k Amazon reviews (that's a lot of fan boys)... but, on a FP thread over a year ago some SD member wrote a gushing post about Woozoo fans from Costco. At first I thought he was crazy... and now I've probably bought 5 or 6 of them myself (some given as gifts).

The Woozoos are by far the best fan I've ever owned. Their normal price at Costco is about $50, but they go on sale for as low as $30. They're a crazy good bargain at $30... and still worth it at $50. If you don't believe me, just look at the reviews from any store that sells them.

Here's a link... just read the reviews:

People will buy and shill for literally anything. If you want a table fan, buy a $10 Honeywell off Amazon. If it breaks, who cares? You can buy 8 of them for the price of this overpriced POS.

That one is tiny and almost $100! Lots of shilling for "paid promotional product" in the reviews. I am not saying they are all lying but we all know what free items do to ratings. Nothing with that brand on costco.com and I've not come across the brand there in the warehouse, so I suppose they no longer carry them.

If I had a need for a well-featured quiet desk fan I would try one but keep the receipt. I can get the little desk fans that are practically silent or quiwet at higher settings for $15. They run on rechargeable 18650s or USB. Oscillation left/right only. Longevity may or may not be as good, but the one you linked better be lasting a good 10 years. Claims of no answers
after only 6-months into their 5-year warranty contact attempts on the Amazon ratings.

It received 4.9 out of 5 stars on 52 reviews on Target. I personally am using 2 of them, bought one for my parents, and they love it, and one for my gf and she loves it. You must be really digging for those bad reviews, and yes, the reason you don't see it on Costco now is bc it's a seasonal item. When it was avail on Costco's website, the reviews were overwhelmingly positive.

So, around $100 is what they're selling for now... what I'm saying is wait for Costco to get them back in stock and buy them at $50 or less. The fan isn't large, but it's really powerful and really quiet, even at high speeds. Again, everywhere this fan is sold, the reviews are very good... and what, so you think I'm shilling a Woozoo fan from Costco that isn't even in stock... really?

I am appreciative for the suggestion and glad you love yours and that the overwhelming reviews are positive.

I simply went to Amazon and clicked on the negative reviews. That is the first thing anyone had better do to see if there are negative issue patterns. Then I mentioned their comment here.
That is not "really digging". Any manufacturer who does not respond to warranty issues is a red flag.

I also NEVER accused you of shilling. I don't know you so I did my own looking. I pointed out my observations of the Target reviews being given for free and super EXPENSIVE (for now) small fancy desk fans. Do you not agree with my statement that paid product reviews are not ideal or as trustworthy?

I shared data of seeing very many, basically paid-for reviews based on your link, so your reference to those reviews is not really trustworthy to me. Then shared my cross-reference to the Amazon page for all to do more research, and repeated someone else's negative comment for warranty service. Also tied into longevity. Warranty is only as good as the company actually provides.

The good news is that if they do respond to warranty issues, the most warranty you could get is 5 years (other than from Costco). That ties into the fact that I do wish it was available through Costco so I could have a little first-hand experience without fear of being left high and dry.

Thank you for elaborating on the seasonality of it. Makes sense for Costco. That honestly never entered my thought process. I will definitely look for them at the $30 range when and if they restock them. Repped.
Peace

Okay, I actually bought my first Woozoo via Target when they were $75 or $80 and Target matches Costco's price for me... the rest I bought from Costco... most on sale for about $30.

Here, I found this review on YouTube randomly... check it out and see the comments from the reviewer's followers.

Thanks again. You had me at Costco hopefully bringing it back. The $30 range is much easier to swallow. Only about twice as much as the cheapies I use. Warranty won't be any worry there. If not honored by mfg, Costco to the rescue.

I own probably 8 of these Rowenta fans. Some are the ones with the remote. They are super quiet. Use them at work under the desk and people don't know it's there. They are quieter than a computer fan. Love them.

When it comes to getting blown under your desk at work, being super quiet is vital when you don't have an office. The perils of being an office peon.
