Feit has been hit and miss
Eufy is marginally better
Wyze apparently is highly rated

I bought this in 2020, and it doesn't have the AI capability. I notice the 2021 version now has AI. I was hoping there would be a firmware update from Eufy that would add the AI capability. Has anyone heard anything about this?

I have bought and installed just this last week from Amazon. The eufySecurity app settings does have the "Human Only" detection type. Your 2020 unit does not offer a firmware update? Mine has Floodlight Cam version 2.0.4.8.

I just checked for a firmware update, but it's up to date. Firmware version is 1.0.0.38, and Hardware version is 2.2. What hardware version do you have?

Camera Settings > About Device only shows "System Version" of 2.0.4.8, with "Model No." of "Floodlight Cam" (and serial no., IP addr, MAC addr). I don't see hardware version/number.

On the carton/box, "Product Name: Floodlight Camera", "Model: T8420X". The bar code sticker shows "T84201W1". If none of this matches yours, I suppose they did change the hardware.

Thanks for that. Could you check the following from the Eufy app:

- From the main page, click on the three dots [...] near the upper-right corner
- It should show "Messages" at the top. Click on "System"
- Click on the symbol that shows an up-arrow in a circle

That should show the "About Device" screen, with both the Firmware and Hardware versions listed.

Sorry... While I could see Messages > System, I don't have the specific message about the floodlights to be able to provide you with the info. Reason: I have set up the floodlights for an elderly using her phone that is now hundreds of miles away and is essentially inaccessible to me.

(Through this exercise, I discovered that a shared admin access to a remote Eufy device does not give access to the Eufy system messages generated by Eufy app activities on the remote phone.)

I have 3 eufy floodlight cams that I had for about two years. One of them both LED lights no longer work & obviously aren't replaceable. Second one the light kept flickering day & night for the past few days, tried resetting it with no luck so I ended up taking it down. I attempted resetting it but it just won't work. Basically, only one of them still fully functional.

I like the video quality & the built-in storage. However, I would say probably the Ring system lasts longer.

I agree with you! I have 5 Eufy floodlight cams (1080p). One of them lights are not working anymore. I have two Ring floodlight cams that I bought 1 year before I bought 5 Eufy ones. Both still working fine. I installed a Feit last week to test. It is doesn't have smart features as Eufy or Ring but it is basically good for low price floodlight cam. I like continuous recording and bright light. I set it to 1% but still brighter than other brands. So far, Feit floodlight cam is good. The build is not as great as Eufy and Ring. It is Tuya camera. I plan to buy Wyze floodlight cam to test.

Just installed the Feit floodlight from Costco. The Feit will disconnect randomly and has to be setup using and running 2.4ghz. Lot of similar reviews about connectivity. Also the app isn't that great. Not impressed and most likely will be getting a different brand
