I stayed here and it was ok I wouldn't recommend it. It's not all inclusive. They entered our room without telling us to restock the mini fridge after we checked in. The only good thing is it's not too far from the malecon. Other side of the street is kinda scetchy. They charge for covid tests, and have limited availability.
Hmmmm... sounds like you have never been to Puerto Vallarta. I've been there a number of times and felt very safe each time. Granted, don't go looking for trouble and stay on the tourist paths. Last time I was there was 4 years ago. In the past 2 years, I've been to Cancun 2x and felt safe there as well. When I say safe, I mean that I don't feel that my wife or now 10 y/o daughter were in any jeopardy. Comparing the 2, we were more sure of the safety in Puerto Vallarta than Cancun.

Both of these locations are tourist hot spots which brings money to the area... so it's beneficial to the town/gov to protect visitors. If they don't, they would lose their income.

When in Puerto Vallarta, we hit the market and walked around the town. The church was really nice too. We even met younger adults (20s) that went into the town and did the night bar scenes without issues.
All inclusive is like eating at Marie Calandars every day. You go to Mexico and eat all inclusive and miss all the outstanding authentic food, and PV is loaded with authentic food. This hotel in very nice, old, but well very kept. Excellent pool and gym

Ya but it takes one gang member to sit by you to potentially get shot by collateral damage
The chances of this happening are way way less that you dying in your car at a red light and some that lost control hits your car at a high speed and die! just think about it, We are exposed daily to many dangers.
I assure you that they don't just go hang out with tourist at bars, they have their own hanging out spots, come on! I swear the way people imagine Mexico is sooo wrong!

FYI, we were just there (1/2) one night before we caught our flight out of PVR. It's a pretty out dated hotel and not all that impressive.

To be fair, the State Department also warns about places such as the U.K. and Germany, for example, both of which are arguably much safer than the U.S. Those are blanket warnings that are issued and don't always reflect what it's really like in that country.

My wife and I go to Mexico (specifically Tijuana) every other weekend for dinner and shopping. We drive in Mexico when we're there and have yet to encounter any problems other than the occasional language barrier. I'm not making a general statement about Mexico that it is safe, but the opposite is also not correct. If you're the kind of person that looks for trouble, I suggest you do a test run in certain parts of L.A. first before the adrenaline rush of visiting a tourist spot in Mexico.

Edit: test runs also possible in downtown Detroit, north of downtown Denver, SE Houston, parts of the Bronx, north Las Vegas, to just name a few
lol LA.... man... LA is weak as fark if you've ever been to a place like Detroit.

Totally Agree! the people with safety concern are the ones that cant afford to travel anyways.. lol
Cheers!
This is not a travel deal. This is a sale on an "all included" resort where you go for 4 days, get drunk every night, see only americans, eat cheap american food and fly back the 4th day without knowing you ever been to Mexico if it wasnt for the ride from the airport to the resort and back.

The place is beautiful, but the breakfast, I don't think you will like the breakfast there too much, because I have had breakfast there

Yes, weather alone would make LA better... that isn't what I'm talking about. I'm saying LA is baby shit soft compared to Detroit.

I know what you meant and responded to that. Granted I only visited Detroit and don't live there but based on what I saw I cannot say if it's any better or worse than the City of Angels

Masks are no safe if you are not wearing correctly, ie. leave the nose out .....

Lived within an hour of Detroit for 30+ years and lived in LA for 2. There's no comparison.
