Is it worth it to pay $600 more for QN9 over QN85?
I saw QN85 in Costco and it looks pretty good.

85 is more like IPS whereas 90 is VA

The 55" QN85 is also the same price at Best Buy, but Costco throws in the Allstate warranty and better return policy.

Samsung TV is "my" last option
They are horrible and gets super slow after just 1year

Even picture quality is dull compared to LG and SONY
I disagree. I have Sony A80J 65" and their brightness is low. UI restarts atleast every 3-4 days and the remote is so clunky.

Bought the 55in QN85 on Black Friday. Very happy with it. Works great in a bright room.

If you don't care about the all state warranty.. they also have at Samsung for cheaper if you have the EPP or Edu discount. The discount is also extended to teachers, nurses and first responders… just need to verify through Id.me

Samsung.com says nothing about 1 size being VA, so until proved you're still wrong. Like I said, Costco isn't right on the description.

At least with the 85", I think the QN9x also gets you a NextGen 3.0 tuner and Quantum HDR 32X instead of 24X.
I'd also like to think that the higher model would get better attention when they bin the screens and calibrate them, but that may be wishful thinking.

VA is fine, at least for the 85". Samsung mentions the "Ultra Viewing Angle" for the QN9x which lets the picture still look good even when you're off to the side.

I had the 85" QN90A on order through samsung.com with EDU discount at $26xx back in late October but cancelled the order because the shipping estimate was so far out. I ended up with the 85" Sony X91CJ from Costco for Black Friday with the 7 year warranty for $2200 (still the price). I do like the Sony TV so far... but the crazy brightness of the Samsung Neo line keeps me wondering. I still have a few weeks left in my 90 day Costco return window. I do find it ridiculous Samsung does not include Dolby Vision or DTS audio support in these top tier models though.
