Or, you can just buy a candy bar or something else cheap. But, $99.96 for a kayak and paddle is ridiculous.
Good luck!

I am around the 260 mark (hoping to shave that down, but let's be realistic). I think I want to go for the sit-in since it has a storage compartment and I like the idea of my legs being shaded, but the limit on it says 250.
The sit-on is 275 but has no storage. I can live with my legs being exposed, that's just a preference.
Paddled 200+ miles on mine, so far. It's been in the ocean, rivers, creeks, etc... and has held up fantastic.
There are several scupper holes, with two under the seat, and it drains great, especially if in the ocean - no more sitting in a pool of water or having to constantly drain it.
The only thing I've done to it is replace the crappy foam seat bottom (easily ripped) with a thick foam $5 Walmart stadium seat bottom and tied it off to the seat back clamp.
BTW... I'm 185#, and my girlfriend is about 115#, so 300# total. Just for giggles, we both jumped in one and paddled around the lake for about an hour. It easily handled the 300#
Dropped the price on a crossbow that I bought, after I bought it but before it shipped.
"No problem, we'll price match that of course"
and they never did. My credit card company finally gave me back the difference after about 15 phone calls and chats with Dicks customer service and my CC company. Took a couple of months in total.
Funny, seems credit card companies aren't very interested in fraud these days either. Someone used one of my cards, and I even found and identified the person. Discover was like "Meh, we can try to keep them from charging it again".
And just like that, a 22 year Discover card holder decided to give that right back to them.
This by the way was AFTER I changed the card number and had the card "frozen", "Well, that looked like a subscription fee, and we always let those through".
Does anyone remember them saying THAT on their tv ads? "You can freeze your card to stop unauthorized purchases!"

Paddling harder is probably what I need to lose a few of these pounds. Not looking for some competitive fancy long distance crossing the ocean kayak. Just something that I can tootle around in on the local lake or reservoir, so I'm not concerned about a little extra work.
If you can point me to a 12', 13', or 15' at this price point without some theoretical Craigs listing ... Sorry, I know these comments are well-intended, but they are often irksome to newbs like me. If you had just bought the Cadillac with the front mounted machine guns and rear smokescreen ...
