So DJI owns both these stores?

If you click through to their ebay store, dronesuperstore is "Drone Superstore is a premier DJI distributer in the United States."
So they are an authorized reseller, NOT DJI themselves.
The ones sold by DJI are "DJI-Refurbished". This one is "Certified Refurbished" without stating who it's actually refurbished (or certified) by. Might be the same (especially given they claim it comes with a DJI warranty), but it's hard to be sure of that...
You're 100% correct, sorry an oversight on my end. I would then redact what I initially wrote and say I would hold off for the fly more combo at this price or 450 refurb from a DJI authorized reseller.
These don't have active obstacle avoidance, they don't fly themselves... So... If I want to take a pic of myself or the scenery around me I have to fly the drone itself.
Maybe I'll find some ideas, or maybe I'll just fly it for fun. I dunno.
My sights were originally on a Skydio. Anyone want to help convince me that I didn't just waste $400?

Here is a good video that goes over the features.

It's got great range. It's got a decent camera. It has some automatic features, but for the most part you are controlling it. It has a gimbal on it but again, you're controlling the camera, the angle, the flight path. Everything.
If you're just chilling on the sidelines (and can safely pilot the drone that way) cool. But I know if I want a video of me doing something cool like on a hike, bike ride, or driving, there is no way to do it with the mini by myself. I'd have to have a decent drone pilot available to film it.
Which is why I'm questioning it. Spend another 600 (or look at other drones like the Mavic Air 2 or Mavic Pro) for other options.
Skydio is also more of an investment because the drone itself is around 1k, the accessories for following and whatnot aren't cheap either.
Eventually I will probably upgrade to the Air 2s in the future once I get good at flying.
The mini 2 is also under 250 grams so it does not require registration with the FAA if that makes any difference for most.
It's just so tiny and light. It will work okay for basic stuff and will likely make my drone skills better versus trying to learn on an expensive device.
