I was just at my local Costco (https://www.costco.com/warehouse-...-1060.html) and they had 24 packs of Goose Island Beer Hug IPA on clearance for $9.97. The case includes 12 cans of Neon Beer Hug and 12 cans of Tropical Beer Hug. The item number on my receipt is 1604927. I'm sure that YMMV with this deal since not all Costcos carry Goose Island. My Costco had 30+ cases remaining. Good luck!

Thanks for the heads up. As you mention, huge YMMV. I won't travel around to different locations on a goose chase but if it was at my local warehouse, I'd definitely grab a case.

Yeah, huge YMMV. Out west hear, the only stuff by good I see is their IPA and then I've found their Tropical Beer Hug in the 19.2oz can at one beer shop for $2.49 a can, but it's almost always sold out.

Last few times I've gotten beer from Costco it's been pretty skunky- obviously exposed to excess amounts of temperature changes. Which for me is pretty unexpected since temps seem pretty stable whenever I'm in a Costco...

Skunked beer is a result of light exposure... Nothing to do with temperature.

I don't trust Costco's beer. More often than not they have been sitting for too long and aren't fresh resulting in loss of hop aroma and taste and it just starts to become a 1 dimensional grassy bitter mess.

I concur. Always check the can date if possible. Under 3 months is the goal for IPA. I'm more of a less than 1.5 months kind of IPA buyer.

Costco often has old beer.

Whatcha talkin bout Willis! Different Strokes, different folks! IPA's one of da guuud stuff. Unlike bland Buttweiser and the like. Although I vaguely remember standard Michelob had a decent taste.

Good price. As a beer snob I will say goose island is one of the lower end IPAs in company with voodoo ranger. Not as good as lagunitas and other craft breweries. That said, at this price, its hard to beat.

Agreed, but the tropical beer hug is really good. Haven't seen the other one locally. 3.8 rating on Untapped is abover average rating for an IPA in my book.

I'm still mad Kirkland ended the session IPA. That was surprisingly good for the price. Even a beer snob friend said it wasn't half bad and he'd drink it again.
