Also I noticed there's a 7.5-Oz size [amazon.com] of McCormick dark chili powder for $4.77. (The 20-Oz size for $5.49 is clearly the slicker deal.) So I guess the dark chili powder comes in multiple sizes/formats.
Note that the nutrition label was wrong regarding sodium. I had to contact them, it was significantly different than the pic. You might encounter the same thing.

There's a difference between chili powder and chile powder. Chili powder (a blend of paprika, dried chile peppers, oregano, garlic, cumin, salt, etc.) is a great base and is typically quite mild. Chile powder (dried ancho, chipotle, cayenne, etc.) is great for adding more specific notes of heat or spice. Together, they build complex layers of flavor.
