They are indeed cheaply built but sound divine. I bought a pair of SVS Ultra bookshelves (4-5 times the price) and I hate to say it but I prefer the 530s. They wow me often.

Being waiting for these, they are highly regarded on avsforum and better than most speakers from Polk, klipsch etc that cost double this discounted JBLs.

I wonder what a 5.1 system would sound like with all 520's Stick Out Tongue I know that speaker gets a lot of hate on here but I love mine and that $90 price is ridic. I'm always tempted to buy four more so I have everything matching.

Unless I missed something, I think this is the lowest price for the 590's in the past three years, if not ever.

$450 each seemed to be the previous lowest "sale price". I paid $450 ea. And I'm very happy with the sound value for the price. They don't get real loud like all my previous jbl speakers did in the past, but they have a fantastic musical clarity and vocal transparency to them. I think they're great speakers for the price.

According to some amazon reviews these have terrible build quality. Looking to replace my 2009 JB set, and looking and Bowen 600 Series Anniversary Edition or Klipsch 8000f.
