Just got an email that DoorDash has extended the chase sapphire free membership till December 31st 2024

I just got off the phone with Chase customer support. I am one of the many who canceled their dash pass account ahead of time in fear of being charged. All you have to do is re-enroll via the app and it will say that your dash pass is still valid through the end of today. It will be a day or so for that to automatically update to say that your account is valid until December 31, 2024. There are no additional steps you need to do, Just re-enroll

It's kind of a wash with DoorDash charging so much in fees, I can use postmates to pick up office orders and it still be cheaper than Dashpass.

For what it's worth, I called DoorDash to report that my DashPass was set to expire on 1/31/22, despite the apparent extension. They transferred me to Dashpass support and the rep mentioned this was a known issue. She said that, for those with eligible cards, the updated renewal date would reflect automatically in the coming days.

Not true. It is super useful for pickup. Restaurants around me have almost no or max 10% markup. Saves me from dealing with calling them on busy lines or server misunderstanding me.

Food delivery apps used to be so worth it but now with all the fees (esp in NorCal) and inflation it's stupid pricey. This does help soften the blow but not enough for me to use it regularly.

Strange got the email but my membership Expiration date: 8/20/22. Clicked on the link. Asked me to add my chase card to the account.I checked and its already added as payment method. Try to add it again it just refreshed the screen. Hopefully it updates to the date in the email.
