I was in the market for one last year and my research brought me to a much cheaper Chinese model (won't link to avoid shilling, easy to find on Amazon, got mine for like $44 on sale). Very similar design but it has a brighter green laser and is more (or at least as) accurate (level deviation at distance). Not sure if this Bosch is technically superior in any way, perhaps more durable for contractor use. Bosch is great in general, but in this tool category I suggest branching out.

I literally just did the same thing. I needed a new laser and went with a green one for visibility, it has 16 points vs the 8 that this does so versatility is greater, and it's about 2/3 of the cost of the bosch.

May want to check your local lowes. This one shows $89 online, but it was marked $49 in-store when I bought it in January. I used it to decorate a few rooms and it was fantastic.

There was a Bosch sale around Christmas that I missed out on. I will have to check the model. Was $99 and never got that low again.
