Looking at this and noticed it goes to a vendor called MBM sales by default.

If you're going to get this I'd change the vendor to Toolup since it's the same price and in their store description they say they're an authorized distributor for Dewalt. If I recall correctly if you have issues with something from Dewalt and didn't buy it from an authorized place they don't have to fix it for you. (HONOR THEIR WARRANTY THAT IS)

"Toolup.com is an authorized distributor of every brands it sells, including Dewalt, Ridgid, Greenlee, Bosch, Makita and many others."

If anyone knows for sure if that's true or not that would be good to know for my future purchases.

**One of the videos on the product page lists a few authorized sellers and toolup is among them. Now I just need to figure out if I'd actually put a router to good use.

Good find OP!

Just picked one up after watching this youtube video of what you can do with a woodworking router and figured might as well have one on hand at this price.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSkS76EbbT0

but when I went back to add it to my cart I saw that Toolup lowered their price to $135.49 new.

At the time there were 17 left so .. 16 now that that I got one.

Though I have never used a router before, I've seen what it can do and its quite impressive, you can literally make decorative finishes and make woodworking art as well as a professional with this thing. I'll grab one also when the price is to my liking. But thank you for your post anyways.👍 Repped!

I wouldn't count on this going to $99 and HD has been cracking down on the hacks people have been doing. $135 is pretty damn good for this since it is regularly $199 and the only other "sale" that's been available lately was to buy the 2 5ah batteries with charger for $200 and get the free tool with it which the router was an option.

Also, I wouldn't buy a tool like this from an unauthorized reseller. buyer beware.

Select toolup store under the listing. They are authorized seller according to Dewalt website

**Just noticed it's $135 if you buy from toolup

That's why I mentioned remembering about fastenersinc.net. They drop a bunch of their bare tools to $99 often, and the state I'm in they don't collect sales tax. They're also a Dewalt Authorized reseller so it's just a waiting game for their next sale.

RE authorized dealers, that's why in my first post I mentioned to make sure it was changed to the vendor Toolup sine they're authorized on Amazon.

Something I noticed under the detailed seller info for Toolup on Amazon is the business name is Fasteners Inc Southwestern Supply in Las Vegas. They appear to be the same but I could be wrong.

I ended up biting the bullet on this one because looking back it looks like it was gone pretty fast at $99. Also while Home Depot does have a hackable tool deal fairly frequently, the router often isn't part of it.

In for 1. I have a older full size Craftsman router with routing table taking up a bunch of space. I only use it for edge work, making detailed edges on a coat rack or rounding the edges for a project around the house. It's overkill, takes up a lot of space, and is a pain to setup. This should work perfect for those little projects.

Only wish these would show up on the "Buy 2 battery, get a tool free" promos but I never see them. Hence just buying this one.
