Home Depot is currently running a "Buy More Save More" promo where if you buy a combination of select Milwaukee M12 & M18 tools that totals at least $299, you get $30 off, if it's at least $399, you get $80 off, and if it's at least $499, you get $150 off.

They all have to be from this selection of 38 tools:

https://www.homedepot.com/b/Featu...1vZ2fkpamg

It includes some pretty popular tools from these lines, e.g.:

M12 Fuel Right Angle Die Grinder: $189 --> $133.08
M12 Fuel 3/8" Stubby Impact Wrench: $179 --> $126.04
M12 Fuel 3/8" Right Angle Impact Wrench: $199 --> 140.13
M12 Fuel Surge Impact Driver w/2x 2Ah Batteries, Charger & Case: $179 --> $126.04

Thing is, it might be hackable, although I haven't tried it myself as I just bought a different hackable deal (M12 drill & driver). (See below, it's hackable.)

Basically, you add a selection of tools from this list to your cart, at least one of which you intend to keep, so they all show up as separate items, and if they total at least $299, $399 or $499, each will be pro-rated to reflect the corresponding discount. You then place the order, and immediately cancel the items you don't want, and the discounted price will remain on the item(s) you want to keep.

Obviously, to get the most discounted price the order has to total at least $499 pre-tax, with every item from this list. You also want the total to be as close to $499 as possible, to maximize the discount on the item(s) you'll keep. I believe that the way to maximize the chances that this works is to have the item(s) you want to keep set to pickup from a local store, and the items you'll cancel set to ship to home.

If anyone tried this and it works, please post here to let everyone know. I actually have my eye on the M12 right angle die grinder, which if this hack works comes out to $133, and is normally $189.

Update: As I noted below, I just tried this and it works. Saved a ton on a tool I needed.

So, what was wrong with this deal that makes it not such a deal? Still trying to figure out the unwritten rules here fro deal posting. Only way I see that it's not a deal is if this hack doesn't work. I'll probably try it myself and if it turns out to not work, I'll post it and call the matter closed.

Everyone was spoiled by the 2 x $150 off glitch, but 30% is still a good deal for tools you need now.

30% is basically what all non-tech glitch hacked deals give you. Perhaps folks are looking for concierge service with white gloves?

Ok I just put my money where my mouth was and tried this hack deal, and it worked. I got the M12 Fuel right angle die grinder for $133. It normally sells for $189. I also used $70 in HD GCs I got using Chase Rewards with 10% off, so with tax it cost me just under $75. That is quite the deal IMO.

Still not sure why this deal hasn't been uprated. Not complaining as I got to take advantage of it myself but it's no worse a deal than ones getting lots of uprates. Maybe I didn't explain how it works well enough. It's really pretty simple and a nice supplement to all those other hack deals. And as I just found out, it works.

Why is this in deal talk? It's still live and works.

I never know where to put these deals, so I "test" them here to see if people are interested. I think there's also a lot of misunderstanding about hacks, that they have to be BOGO to be hacks, and that's not the case. You can let the mods know if you like and maybe they can move it.

This is even better than I initially realized. Turns out that the M12 Fuel Stubby 3/8" impact wrench, which is on the BMSM list, goes for $126 with this hack.

BOGOs regularly gives you 40-50% off. Every in-betweens, there would be a kit like the recent M12 Fuel Hackzall w/Rotary Tool that has a dollar discount of -$20 AND BOGO-eligible which gave it 57% overall discount.

Depends on the tool and how long you can wait. The stubby hasn't been this low since BF and that wasn't from HD. It was $116 nearly a year ago on eBay. But I haven't seen it this low at HD for at least a year. If you need this tool and not in a kit then this is the way to get it, period. If you need other tools too then the BOGO deal might make more sense. But this deal is the best option for certain tools, like the right angle or straight die grinders. Won't find a better price and hasn't been one for some time.

Kicking this upstairs one last time. This deal is still active and lets you get the 3/8" stubby impact wrench for $126. It normally goes for $179.

Yes, it's a deal. A HOT DEAL. It hasn't been this low for nearly a year and then on eBay, not Home Depot. If you've been waiting for the right price to get this tool or any of the others in this deal, do it now. You're not going to find a lower legit price any time soon.

I am smooth brained...so what all do I need to add to the cart to get the stubby for 126?
I tried two products and it just said 15% off.

Add either $179 die grinder and the $139 cutoff grinder plus the wrench to get to $507, and it'll deduct $150. Confirm that each tool is a separate cart item and discounted by ~30%. Select pickup for the wrench and shipping for the other 2 tools, place the order, wait a couple of minutes for it to appear in your order history, then immediately cancel the other 2 tools. The discounted $126 for the wrench should remain. Then wait for the pickup ready email and head to the HD store you selected.

This is exactly what I did and it worked. Got my tool, in my case the right angle die grinder, within 2 hours of placing the order.

Note that I found out the hard way that if you try to apply gift cards to partially pay for the order it might not take, as they might get applied to the canceled items. I applies 2 $35 GCs and neither ended up being applied, so I paid entirely via CC. Now I'm stuck with these GCs with no plans to buy anything major from HD for some time. At least they don't expire or have maintenance charges.
