People don't even know how Nits applied to panel size.

This TV may only be 250 nits bright, but with an 86in screen that's decent for most people. Take a standard 15in laptop with 250 nits brightness.... now imagine thirty-two laptop screens stacked to equal the size of 86in... that is easily watchable.

I own an OLED, I have no idea why OLED owners need to come into these threads and shit all over everything and everyone when it's pretty apparent not everyone prioritizes image quality.

Once the game starts or the movie plays, most people get entertained no matter how nice or not a display is.

But if you read the review it's for the 65" they had which has a different display. "We tested the 65 inch model, which has an IPS-like panel, but we expect the 50 inch and 70 inch models to have VA panels, and the 86 inch model is a bit more advanced. The models with IPS-like panels have wide viewing angles, but low contrast." This really doesn't tell the story it seems.

I had one of these from Costco. Ended up returning it for a 77" OLED. The OLED was over $1000 more at the time but well worth it.

The local dimming on this Nanocell is worthless. The one I had also had horrible dirty screen issues. Keep in mind too, this thing is huge and very heavy for a TV by today's standards. It is a nightmare to return.

There's no world where this TV is good. Nano cell is trash, any LG TV outside of OLED is trash, don't waste your money.

Viewing angles aren't important enough to spend an obscene amount of money on a TV that's inferior in every way and belongs in a Walmart bargain bin.

Buy it. Don't let strangers on the internet sway your decision.

The only tv I'd look at in this category would be Sony 85x81ch at Costco.
