Neither this or the OLED will make a good monitor. You want The Frame, because you want your TV look like a ART piece on the wall. Hooking up to a laptop would defeat the purpose. You will get burn in quickly with OLED as monitor.

I'm very happy with our Frame TV but many of you guys will be surprised by the amount of work required for a proper professional looking install. Even if you have an outlet exactly where the tv is going you'll need to spend $x on a recessed box to house the Connect One brick and the outlet.

Yeah, it was weird. I chatted with an agent, and they told me the free installation promo had expired. I decided to chat again a few minutes later and got the same answer. I had already closed my chat screen, but a few minutes later I got an email from Samsung with a chat transcript saying I had missed conversations. The missed conversation had a free installation code, I used the code in the email and it worked.

Does the recessed box cause the onebox to overheat?

Thats a good point. I have an outlet right behind where the TV will be mounted and a closet right on the back. I wonder if I need to relocate the outlet to the back?

Do you happen to have a link to the recessed box that you used?

The Handy contractors they paired me with are shady. I asked them if I can add a side work to add conduit. Now they are pressuring me to cancel my installation request and book through them direct.

Has anyone used the Handy to put up your Frame yet? I have one scheduled for Sunday but I am debating to either DIY or allow them to do it for me if they can actually do a good job. I watched the samsung video and it seems easy enough and also a plus with the wall template they provide too.

The window in my room is at the back of the couch and the tv will be about 14 ft on the opposite wall, no daylight from the side should hit the tv. Would I get a glare?

Also, really like getting the 5 year warranty from Costco.
