Good price but a couple upgrade will be needed to replace the HD with SSD and the wifi interface.

1TB HD is 5400RPM SATA. That's a hard pass for me.

I can't believe Dell still builds a computer without SSDs. *Edit - still build one that's spec'd with an i7 and 16GB RAM

Missed label. Model # says its I3, description says I7. Doubt it's I7 at this price range...and SATA drive, crap.

You can't draw a direct comparison with Dell regarding the model number and processor. It's probably an i7 like it stated. Because it's listed that way everywhere even under specs. It's probably some stupid Costco build to appeal to an uninformed consumer that puts HD capacity over performance. I've got an older friend in his 60s that has no idea of the difference between a 5400 HD and an SSD… he would buy this thinking he's getting a deal.

I have been buying Dell for a long time. The model # is always consistent. Welcome to check that model # out at dell to find out. I mentioned this so people are aware of it. They got description wrong somewhere.

I'm a Dell guy too. Here are just two examples of Costco computers with either i3 or i5 in the model number but have i7 processors. So if the OP computer is wrong, there is a whole slew of wrong ones at Costco.

Also, this inconsistency can be found at other retailers. I feel anyone interested in this computer can be confident that this is an i7. I just can't recommend any computer without an SSD these days…

I am pretty sure you are correct as Costco probably copied the below information from somewhere else while the above/main information is for an i7 and most likely the model you'll get.

Besides this is Costco so if its incorrect; wont be a major issue to resolve.....If the box you get indicates something diff dont open it...
