Wow I can't believe these still exist out in the wild. Frys was the last sole distributor of the RC70s before they went bankrupt. Excellent towers I have them upstairs in the loft.
Frys and those great speaker deals!!!
Fry's electronics… RIP

Same! Came to say this, I have 2 from Fry's from years ago. Great speakers! If I recall they were quite a bit cheaper from Fry's during their sales, though.

Yep I got mine for 500/pr but they sold for as low as 400 at one point.

I have a pair of the bookshelf model - RC-10s that I bought from Van's about in about 2010. I also have speakers from Wharfedale, Polk, JBL, Altec Lansing, Sony and others but the RC-10s are my favorite. As well as the great sound quality, the build quality is excellent - bi-amp and bi-wire posts, solid weighty feel and real wood veneer. Always wanted RC-70s but they were out of reach. Did Energy really go bankrupt or did Klipsch just take them over to eliminate a competitor? I see that Woot are offering a 5 year Klipsch warranty. Anyone know if these are still being made by Klipsch or whether they are New Old Stock.

Friend of mine has a pair of these and I've spent a lot of time listening to them. Really nice set of towers!!! Kinda surprised new ones are still available. Anyone looking at the Klipsch deals lately should definitely consider these.

I would assume they're NOS, I haven't seen anything in this line new for a long time. I wonder if Woot bought the rest of Fry's inventory. I have 2xRC-LCR's, and 2xRC-70's...if you ever want to sell those RC-10's, let me know haha.

Agreed, I use mine for my music speakers with my vinyls and lossless music. One thing that's nice is that they're 3 ways, vs most towers are 2 ways, so for music they're great.

Same here, Fry's had it for $500 a pair. I have front, center and rear all RC series, in fact, rear bookshelf speakers got from craigslist brand new for $70 a pair.

Love my RC 70s. They sound great all the way to max volume, without being harsh. Scored them on sale from frys like everyone else. I had to warranty one of the 6.5s about a year after purchase and Klipsch sent me a brand new replacement, no questions asked. I keep hoping they're going to relaunch the brand, but I guess they'd rather not compete with their own muddy subs and overly bright towers.

I have the matching center as well, but I cheaped out on the rears and regret it.

Same, I found another RC-LCR locally on CL and picked it up to at least have 2, now I'm on the hunt for RC-10's. One day...haha

These were 200 bucks each back in 2015. I guess inflation has really taken its toll.

It seems like Energy speakers have quite a following.

I bought a Klipsch RC62 II center about ~2 years ago because I wanted a fuller center speaker to replace the center from the Energy Take 5 Classic center (a set I bought for $100 back the late 00s) and I listed it on eBay thinking I'd get a few bucks for it and I ended up getting $80 for it. Granted, even after 10 years of use, it was basically in perfect shape but still, I was pretty baffled.
