If you use Gmail, many (but not all) sites will let you use Gmail's "plus sign" feature so you don't have to use a different email address. Use "[email protected]" for the address - everything from the plus sign to the at symbol gets ignored by Gmail (it delivers to "[email protected]"), but it looks like a different address to the site and you can filter on it in your mailbox. I'll usually use the site and date after the plus (something like "WestDigi20220205").

Not buying so don't know if this works here, but it's handy to know about.

4" is the drive dimension, but they're still 3.5" form factor. I believe 3.5" references the size of the platters in the drive.

On the subject of these drives though, at 7200rpm enterprise drives they're probably somewhat loud, and reviews seem to confirm that. They're intended to be in racks in a server farm where you won't hear them over the din of fans running. If you're buying these for a NAS, I'd only do that if your NAS is somewhere you can't hear it.

4" - these don't fit in a 3.5" standard HDD bay then, right?

TY! 30 years building computers and it never occurred to me to actually measure my drives. it's also been quite some time since i bought a full size drive.

Oh yeah, even consumer 7200s are loud.

I had to create an account with a different email because the first time I didn't get it, probably cause I ordered before through paypal...

As someone who has been struggling to keep games installed on my computer is this good for me? Seems a little on the expensive side? I use my hard drives for playing games only I have 1tb hd and 2 500gb ssds I haven't upgraded my computer since 2014 as it still runs fine for me at least. But now im having trouble with storage.. if someone can point me in the right direction thanks in advance.

if you store a lot of movies in original quality, have security cameras, etc this is more for you.

Damn I just shucked two 14TB drives from a recent slickdeal posted. It was about ~$400 I think.

If I knew about this, or even about those coupons I would have been happier.
Or you could spend nearly the same as two 16 TB gold drives but use RAID 5 on 3 14TB drives for redundancy and striping performance...
