Lol, literally just bought a super cheap GoPro 7 Black with one battery that lasts about 50 min.
Does anyone rec a multi-battery charger?

Interesting. GoPro just stopped selling batteries for anything older than the Hero 8 within the past few days.

Yes- makes it easier to keep multiple batteries charged. Also depends on what your are recording, I only really used my GoPro for travel moments on a wearable shoulder mount and I never made it past the 2nd battery. Your mileage will vary.

My mistake, you are right. For some reason I thought I more prominently saw other models listed but only saw the 8 listed now.

I was about to post a warning that the converse is not the case. That is, you may not be able to use all features on a Hero 8 when using a 5/6/7 battery. I swear I read that when I first got my Hero 8. But, the user manual's warning is rather ambiguous.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY For maximum performance, be sure to use the GoPro Rechargeable Battery (HERO8 Black/HERO7 Black/HERO6 Black) with your new GoPro. Although older GoPro and non-GoPro batteries may fit in your HERO8 Black, they will greatly limit your camera's performance.

The battery supplied with the GoPro Hero Black 8 is 4.4V and 1220mAh. It has a blue bottom, but black top. I see the Hero 9/10 are 1720mAh with blue top and blue bottom.

[Update: Per https://community.gopro.com/t5/en...a-p/398667, Hero 5/6/7 batteries will work in 8 but could cause problems in high performance mode. Not sure if that is a real compatibility problem, or an artificial one.]

you can have backup batteries.

but mainly should just use an external large battery pack to keep the gopro running for hours. too much of a hassle to constantly switch battery.

I'm familiar with how batteries work, lol. But it's for a mobile setup on a motorcycle. Extra wires aren't feasible.
I was asking if anyone recommended a particular multi-battery external charger. Like the one I already have for an old Hero3+. Currently my only method of charging the Hero7 battery is plugging in the GoPro itself. Not an ideal option if you plan to carry/charge multiple batteries via battery packs.
