Screen is just 1080p. At $600 this isn't the best idea in the world but not the worst. It works with Monterrey but no telling how long support will last- I wouldn't expect the next os to be supported on it.

5 years up to 7 depending on how generous Apple is. They defined 5 years as vintage, 7 years as obsolete. With that said they supported the iPhone 6s with updates all the way up to iOS 15, and that was released in 2015.
Definitely agree with others, getting a computer this old isn't recommended.
