Don't do it. Resold mine. Super loud. GPU too hot. Not enough case fans. Crazy thick case. Awkward to take apart and upgrade.

Watched few reviews on these, never seen so much plastic on a case ever, looks awful.

$2,312.30 tax included

-120 $600 on my wife's Amex offer
-77.86 $1,112.30 on my Visa 2% plus 5% bonus
-74.49 Cash Back Site
-203.78 Dell Customer service (complaining why 10% off coupon didn't work)

Still makes this the most expensive PC I've ever purchased but after two weeks now it's worth it. It's crazy fast and at least for me it's the quietest PC I've ever owned. But I'm not a gamer this was mainly for work.

Congrats on you purchase! How you did it made you a true slickdealer 😀

The biggest difference is the gpu, which is the highest priced component of the system. Your system has a much cheaper gpu.

Always bought Dell desktop XPS models. Owned XPS 4 dimension for 7 years. Currently owns xps 9000. This is 12 years old. Thermal throttling got worse and worse for no apparent reason. Thinking of replacing it. I have no question about longevity of their top models. But upgradability sucks. First time willing to shell out a few extrac bucks to get it from System integrators. A better motherboard, better cooling system. better case.

Hi. You should replace the thermal paste if your thermal temps are going up and make sure everything inside the case is clean

Imagine spending $2,200 (well imagine spending $2,200 on an alienware lmao) but imagine spending that much money on a computer with a 3080 then getting a stock 5900 to pair with it.

Well thermals and throttling on alienware is so bad they probably figured why bother. But hey at least you can rip out all the guts and build your own or upgrade parts in a different case.. oh wait no you can't.

Oh for sure dude yours easily has twice the performance. Most people think the 3080 outperforms the 3060 because the number is higher but not so

I really don't know much that's why I asked for opinion on my purchase= specs and price I paid . You are saying the graphic difference of 20 makes this OP's deal far better ? But how big is the difference ? What about the other specs ?

GPU means the graphics ? How big is the difference compared to mine and price difference on that? Mine is better on rest of the specs right ?

A few examples at 1440p:
Valhalla - 60 FPS vs 84 FPS
Valheim - 73 FPS vs 139 FPS
Cyberpunk - 38 FPS(59 DLSS) vs 76 FPS(104 FPS)

And at 4k it's barely even worth mentioning as it's more along the lines of CAN vs CANT.
Valheim - 40 vs 80 FPS, Hitman 45 vs 92 FPS, RDR2 36 vs 69 FPS

The 12700 and 5900 are fairly comparable (though I wouldn't even consider buying either without being the (K) or (X) variant personally).

I wouldn't spend $1300 for yours and I wouldn't spend $2,200 for this. But I think they are equally poor value at these respective price points if that's what you want to know lol. As far as performance goes, as they say you get what you pay for.

You can pick up a 12700, or a 5900 or ram or every other component these systems have off the rack with ease. It's the GPU you can't find, the GPU people are after. If you could, nobody would even give this "deal" a second glance.

Therefore anybody who might be interested in this system is probably not interested in owning anything less than a 3070 at a bare minimum(most probably only want a 3080 or better). It's like telling somebody who's trying to buy a Tesla S that a Tesla 3 is in stock.

Seems like you are only focusing on Graphics and not on the rest of the other important specs , unless you are a hardcore gamer or always edits large video and photo files , mine is still very good right ? Look at the rest of the specs , mine smokes this one on the other specs and price . What you say? I am very satisfied on all the specs I have on mine and each of them are very good , graphics, processor , ram and storage and the price ! Any slicks deals on desktop that has specs as good as mine for $1300? My regular price was $2300 but I got it down to $1300

I went in on one of these and got it about 2 weeks ago, things of note - it's the OEM only 5900 (65 TDP), the case certainly lacks good air flow - one intake (140mm I think) fan and CPU AIO is on the exhaust vent at the top. PSU is saddled directly on top of the CPU/AIO which I'm sure isn't great for temperatures. The 3080 seems to be of decent build quality, I appreciate that they added an additional brace in the middle to prevent card sag. I bought this mainly for the 3080 card and so that I could transition some parts from my old main machine to my plex server, it hasn't disappointed me even though parts of it seem poorly thought out.
