This is the same deal as THIS ONE with $50 reduction in Price across the board.

Regarding some reviews where the Liquid Cooling materials was spread across the VRM in some Review Units to some YouTubers like Gamer Nexus, that has been cleared out. So, wanted to give the details before this thread gets bombarded with that old information. Below is the official response from the Company sent to a SD user who has purchased the PC. Link to the original Post

reply from the company
------------------------------------
Hello,

Recently, some Youtube reviewers have questions regarding our product and the way we market it.
First of all, we would like to apologize for the confusion that we cause to reviewers and our customers and would like to make some explanation regarding the questions that you may have:

1.Liquid metal splitting problem:
We tested our product in several ways and one of them is a drop test. HX90 passed the 60cm test.
But later when we did a 80cm test, we found a problem. Liquid metal leaked.
We want to improve it and raise the standard so the HX90 can survive an 80cm drop.
But because we had limited samples, we removed the liquid metal and used thermal paste in these review samples.

2. Is the product liquid metal applied?
The actual product is definitely liquid metal applied. There will be no problem with sealing. HX90 can survive 80cm drop tests.

In mid August, we were informed that the sealing technique was good enough and we can produce samples with liquid metal applied so we decided to send the second unit to reviewers because it would be better if they can test the sample which can represent the actual product.
The reason why reviewers got confused is that there were misunderstandings in our company's internal communication.
Our factory mistakenly sent the same sample as the first unit which was still using thermal paste.
There is no reason in the world that we would send a false product to reviewers to show our problems, especially reviewers like Linus Tech Tips, Jayztwocents and Gamers Nexus.
As soon as we found out we sent the wrong sample we wrote emails to all reviewers who received the second unit to try to clarify the mistake.
But damage had been caused and we are truly sorry for the time they spent testing the sample.

3. The inconvenient screws:
This is another difference from the actual product. The actual product will use Philip Screw.
As shown in the picture, this was designed before August.

We sincerely apologize for the confusion we caused to reviewers and customers. We will never lie to our customers and our products will be the same as the way we market them. We will upload a video filming how we apply liquid metal.

But regardless, please accept our humble apologies.
The Retails units have been reviewed by multiple YouTubers, including ETA prime, an YouTuber specialized in SBC and Mini PC review and he also did not find any issues. Refer to the original thread for the experience shared by SD users who have purchased it from the past deal.

Decent price for this processor, but if you are able to wait, the Ryzen 6000 series is just around the corner, and the RDNA2 integrated graphics in the new chips are considerably faster than the Vega graphics in the 5900HX.

Yes, but that wait may be a lot. Unlike Intel based mini pcs, where manufacturers release them very quickly after the new gen CPU launch, for AMD, it's a long wait. These Ryzen 5000 based mini pcs took almost 6 months after the official launch, for being available in limited quantities. So, for 6000 series, which is going to be available from purchase in laptops from April, you probably need to wait another couple of months after April, to get one of these mini pcs.

There is a egpu connector for AMD. There's even a channel on YouTube that did a review testing.

This company name looks like "Misinformation" or "Misinform" at the least.

No eGPU Connector for AMD. That's an old trick to use NVMe M.2 to PCIe x16 converter kit and can be used with any device with a M.2 slot running at X4 speed.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I stopped buying these small form factor mini pcs a while ago just because of one common issue. If you put these on load, fan noise is too loud. I have an alienware alpha r1, a zotac zbox EI750 and an intel hades canyon. All of them have this issue. I don't have experience with these minisforum mini pc and beelink ones, but just look the layout inside I doubt these would be quiet on load. These things got promoted by a lot of youtubers and only few of them pointed out fan noise issue. My guess is most reviewers got it for free or even got paid, those pointed out the issue had to buy the mini pc themselves.

Heat dissipation issue is really common in small form factor or in thin and light laptop. To solve the issue, they tend to have fan with very high RPM and result in the loud fan noise. I think a work around for these type of mini pc is to replace the OEM fan with some high quality fan such as Noctua in order to lower the noise but have the same performance.

After seeing the youtube reviews of the liquid metal disaster for this...staying away from the Chinese computer companies. Bet RMA process is a nightmare if anything goes wrong, probably make you ship it back to China on your dime. Wonder how loud this thing is as well, I'm looking for a new mini computer for business maybe some light gaming, I want dead quiet though, not sure if I should try to build or just buy prebuilt. Suggestions for fast ultra quiet computer?
