Anyone needing a number, Ting mobile Sim is usually $1 each so don't buy a phone# from these people. Bestbuy allows max of 3 and Target allows max of 2. Buy ahead of time and activate when you need a phone#, with $30credit you shouldn't have to pay a thing if porting out in less than a day or 2

$15/month in total for all 5 lines. They share the 1GB of data.
Keep in mind, there was a promo as well where if you sign up for their internet plan, they gave you up to $30/month off their promo rate of internet with xfinity mobile. In my case, that would be $19/mo for 300mbps internet. Then $200/line byod. On top of that, if you get a referral link and buy both services, you can get $75 back as well. I know someone that can refer šŸ˜‰ I used a referral when I signed up and did get the gift card.

Ie: port 3 lines: bonus $600, sign up for the 300mbps internet as new customer, $30x24 for $720 discount, plus referral of $75.

I have used the best buy/target $1 ting sim that comes with $30 credit. The credit has taken care of any balance multiple times.

If you are on the cheapest $10 plan and don't use data, you should have a $10 bill. However, if you use ANY data you will be charged $5.
It is very difficult not to use at least 9 MB of data when setting up and testing your Ting service. That will cast $5 for the month.

Also, Ting adds various taxes/fees.

Still, the$30 credit should cover all of that.

Also, Ting charges are "postpaid", in the sense that if you wait to see a given month's invoice, you are already being billed for the next month, even if you port out 2 days into that next month's billing period.

Yeah, they've given me the gc early twice actually, from different promos. Key is always stock up on prepaid sim cards for porting in or porting out and have a bunch of unlock phones on the ready. 😁

Those are some conflicting terms. All I can say is the same terms have been in previous threads and people got larger gift cards than $250 when doing multiple lines.

That makes me think the $250 note is incorrect or somehow referring to something else.

Does it matter what IMEI I use? Do I have to activate using this particular IMEI when I receive the SIM card? I tried an old iphone7 on their website and it says that it's not compatible.
If you don't plan to use the service, just activate using an IMEI generator for a device that is approved. Then, try your phone when it gets in.

Over the multiple threads in the past, you can leave the sim in a drawer after you've activated/ported. However, I have one approved device for each line in case that changes on the XM side.

Thanks for the reply, it is very helpful! Let me make a follow up question. If I want to use the service and put the SIM card in a different, "non compatible" phone like a iphone 7, will there be a problem with xfinity? I don't mean if the SIM actually does not work with the particular phone because I can find a phone that works with xfinity, I mean if they will automatically check that I am using a different IMEI than what I gave them, so they will cancel the rebate or create a different problem with my account. Do they check those IMEIs at all or can we swap phones without any problems? I am asking because on their web site, in my account under "Devices" I can see the IMEI of the phones I am using.

Yes, they can see the IMEI of the device you are using.

No, changing the sim to a phone with a different IMEI will not mess up the gift card. They just want to see active service.

iPhone 7 have GSM only version, so you probably have one of those didn't have CDMA, so it won't work with xfinity.

Can we activate SIM on a different device than the IMEI provided while ordering and still be eligible for GC?

Answer is a few posts above. No, Xfinity only cares if you pay them monthly for the service. Any phone will work as long as it's compatible.

Thank you and if I order 5, I'm not planning to use the lines, can I activate everything using the same phone and put them aside for 90 days, will that be fine?
