I was able to pre-order the S22+ on Verizon Wireless website just now while trading in my S20+ 5g 128 GB for almost a free upgrade via monthly device credits. My S20+ 5g was worth $1000 in trade in credits. About $1.50 a month over 36 months plus fees after said and done.

Seems they have deals going for both new and existing lines. See attached images.

This is such a terrible deal. $1000 over 36 months is $27 per month, now subtract $10 if you need to upgrade to their top plan to get the deal. Now its only $17 a month credit, now trade in after two years like reasonable people do.

Over 2 years this trade in is worth $426 dollars. farking joke. I'm contemplating leaving Verizon over the 36 month bullshit.

They're giving me 1k trade in for my note 20 ultra, meaning I have 300 hundred bucks left to pay, can I pay it off early? I'm already on the highest plan.

Not worth unless you're on the Get more plan, would be 30 per line more per month for me have three lines on unlimited loyalty plan for 118 all up, this is just verizons way of trying to get people off the cheaper plans and stuck with them for 36 months no thanks

I think I'm good with the high tier pan, on a very old family unlimited plan now...would be about a wash after discounts to upgrade 2 lines, put 4 lines on a lower tier. So if I do this, trade in my cracked note 10+, if I want a phone in 2 years, I lose the rest of the credits or what is this early upgrade stuff the rep was telling me about? No way to trade the phone in to samsung at the 2 year mark without losing out on 12 months of device credits correct? I hate device payments!

all these deals always force you to higher data plans which you have to factor into the monthly cost/net against bill credits. Really negates much of the benefit. Want to upgrade from note 9 and s9+ but these prices are just absurd

You can pay it off early, but dont trade in the Note 20. Buy a Note 9 off ebay for 150$ and trade that in for $1000 instead.

Submitted a broken screen (and display) Note 10+ and wife's S10. I will probably regret the change to plans but figured I need to get to a 5G plan from my current family plan anyway.

Alternative was $300 trade in from Samsung for the broken screen Note 10+ (non 5G) plus $250 of accessory credit (not worth much unless you were planning to buy those accessories) or <$100 for the S10.

They ask for the IMEI to confirm the trade in value so you would have to have the device in hand.

Wish I would have known that would work. Samsung's site was jacked all day so I went to Verizon and the value of an undamaged Note 10+ 4G went from 1000 to 153. I didn't go further and finally got Samsung to work, but already being on the highest plan, this would have been the better deal.

Yea, I ended up actually chatting with someone cause the website was being really slow and they were able to get me the deal with the cracked Note 9. Yea, I had to switch plans from the $35 to the $55 one but the cracked Note 9 gets you not even $50 for a trade, so this deal to get $1000 off was great. I gotta say though the deals were way better last year when the S21 line came out. Locking us in for 3 years is pretty shitty on Verizon.

I ended up just keeping the Samsung "deal" even though I'm paying more for the phone because I didn't want to be trapped at Verizon for another 3 years.

You can pay off the phone, but it'd cost you the full phone price ~$1000. The way Verizon tradein works is that you're receiving bill credits throughout 36 months. As in, they charge you 1/36th price of the phone every month and then credit you the 1/36th of trade-in value.

If you decide to cancel or pay off, you loose the remaining trade-in value and have to pay full leftover phone price.

I remember the good old days of "here's a free phone if you stay with us for 2 years" no bs "upgrade" fees, no "top tier plan".....no "trade in bullshit".

Thanks for fighting so hard to get rid of those onerous contracts so we can now have 3 YEARS of bill credits, upgrade to a plan most don't need, AND give away our existing device...lol

Verizons website is confusing and the chat reps are telling me different things.

What I want to do.
-Pay full retail and trade in a Note 10+.

I get two promos showing up as follows-
