I have this robot vac and I like it. The main thing that sets this apart from other robot vacs with a base is that this does not require a bag. My issue with iRobot was that I couldn't find any extra bags at any store when I was looking to buy one in November. I saw this Shark one on sale for Black Friday at Amazon and I jumped on it.
The lidar sensor helps map your house in one go in about 15-20 minutes. The front sensors need a bit more improvement in my opinion but as long as you don't leave small stuff out anyways that would be issues for the vast majority of robot vacs, you'll be fine with this robot vac.
I got this vacuum to mostly help with the hair my husky sheds. I have a schedule set to vacuum one room each day. It really does help keep the pet hair and dust accumulation down. No issues whatsoever on hardwood floors.
For carpet cleaning, it does a decent enough job. Big particles are always picked up. Small particles like sand it does have issues with, but I have yet to see any robot vac that handles sand well.
