That is the best by date.
I received the 6 pack, all sealed up. There is a label on the wrapping that has the product details which includes the same date on the bottom of my cans. The label specifically says, Best By 22 Jan 2022.

Same here got as gift for BIL, 6 cans arrived Jan 22, 22 best by date, got refund. Coffee is probably fine but didn't expect already past date upon arrival.
However, that they bothered to add this statement was worth noting.. imho. I'd have tried anyways lol. Hopefully we get some updates for future reference..
