PCIe Gen3 - If you really want the most performance spend a bit more for one that supports PCIe Gen4, but for office PCs etc. this one is sufficient.

I think this is a great affordable SSD for the majority of people. If you're a performance enthusiast, yeah you'll likely want to go with a Gen4.

I bought one for my Dell XPS 13 9360. The m.2 slot in the laptop makes out at 1.8 GB/s, so this was more than adequate.
