If you are looking for a budget mac, I highly recommend an m1 mini over this ultra low end iMac. The new M1 chips are about 4x as fast as the slow dual core laptop chip in this model. And we don't know how long Apple will keep supporting Intel macs.

M1 Mac Mini is $650. No monitor, but those are not very expensive.

I don't think this is a good bargain in 2022.

As mentioned many times by others, this is NOT a good deal. Buy a new M1 Mac and it has way higher resale value, so you will probably end up with paying similar amount of money but using better hardware for a few years before you flip it.

Well in 2022 buying a 5 year old model doesn't make sense. Their Retina Display is old and M1 Mac Mini paired with a monitor will cost the same. But is light years ahead with performance etc.

Mac Mini is 649.99 on amazon, cheapest monitor in stock at my local Best Buy is 129.99, keyboard and mouse is another 24.99 for the cheapest wireless set

804.97 or 870.37 after tax for me

The iMac at Costco is 648.74, 221.63 cheaper

i got an m1 already and it will definitely be better but to say they're the same price isn't true and for some people, 650 is already rough but then throwing another 220 on it is wild
