Not knocking this find, as it is $700 (35%) off of MSRP. That said, the components are getting a bit dated. It has a 10th gen Intel chip in it, which is at least 2-3 years old. Has a refresh of this been announced, or is it being discontinued? Thanks!!

Not knocking this find, as it is $700 (35%) off of MSRP. That said, the components are getting a bit dated. It has a 10th gen Intel chip in it, which is at least 2-3 years old. Has a refresh of this been announced, or is it being discontinued? Thanks!!

I've driven far to get open boxed ones, and they never are able to verify anything over the phone. That said be warned that the lower end of open box is usually missing a charger and that can be a real pain.

Lucky for me I have Surface products already. I'd be tickled pink if the device was in great shape and only missing the charger.

Bought a open box for 608 recently with i5/8gb/256gb.was missing charger.its basically a store display.
Had some minor scratches on outside but the screen was solid .
Though it was still 10th generation,I thought the price was solid for it's form factor.
I couldn't find any brand new beating that price. With touchscreen, tablet use, pencil support , good screen,USB c support, nice mouse pad,keyboard with light,good battery,two camera front and back...best of all no fan sound.
1 con is : I noticed it gets hot behind the display .

I still have few days to return, not finding any compelling deal better than $608

I was looking at the i5 version (new) yesterday for $900 but it was out of stock. On the off-chance I checked back today and they had it in stock, so purchased. Looks like it's out again now.

I've had the original Surface Book in the same specs as the one I just bought (obviously previous gen processor) for 5 years now. I bought it refurbished and it's been great for what I use it for (browsing, streaming, MS Office, etc. So I couldn't really justify the $400 extra for the i7.
