65" model doesn't have the anti reflection layer per Rtings review. Not worth $400 over the X90J. Still doesn't have VRR support and auto low latency. I'm going to wait for 2022 models which supposedly have those.

Not sure why they say that. I literally just bought this at best buy on Friday and it most definitely has the anti reflective on it.

I'm still dialing it in but it's a heck of an upgrade over my old lg 55". The 4k and hdr is absolutely breathtaking, truly couldn't be happier.

Some would definitely argue that for the money, get an oled. But after reading great reviews and some downsides to oled with burn-in, I opted for this TV. Setup was super easy, Google interface is super fast and works flawlessly.

For anyone that gets it, highly recommend watching the 4k new top gun movie trailer on YouTube, spectacular!

What about the vrr issue, is that true? Worth waiting for 2022 model? Thank you

I don't play video games so I can't comment. I've just read it's going to be a software upgrade at some point. This wasn't a selling point for me.

Can anyone confirm that the feet are as far apart as they look in the pictures?

I dont see why every manufacturer does not make adjustable feet, both width and height. Just a few machine screws. I did see one model that had adjustable height.

They are and can be mounted inwards as well. Look at startup guide. https://www.sony.com/electronics/...5j/manuals

I have mine mounted on the wall so can't comment anymore then that.

You can also rearrange the feet to raise the TV. I'd probably still get a x90j at this price unless you have a particular need for the couple extras the x95j brings.

Liability. It's not worth it for something few ask for.

Does the 65 have inward leg positions? The Sony site spec sheets seem to indicate that's only on the larger sizes.

Very happy with my X90J 65" that I bought at Best Buy for $1199. I have no issues with reflections in my living room which is fairly bright during the day. Streaming fuboTV here most of the time and it looks fantastic.

Rtings says this :

"The Sony X95J is slightly better than the Sony X90J. The X95J has much better reflection handling, better viewing angles, and a better local dimming feature. The X95J is also much brighter, and small highlights stand out better in HDR. The X90J, on the other hand, has better native contrast and better black uniformity, with less cloudiness in dark scenes."

https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...shold=0.10

So in my opinion, the X95J is not worth spending $400 more for.

Technically it's a $300 difference. So where is the value threshold?

It was on sale last week for 1199 everywhere. I'm guessing that's the purchase price.

The 2022 model of this TV is going to be Sony's first TV mini led, and it's gonna be pretty damn expensive!

But yes, Sony has said that all their 2022 TV's will have VRR working right out of the box. Though on their website it still says they'll receive them via a firmware update

Yes, as my comment said, I bought my X90J for $1199 as everyone had the X90J on sale for that price for around 2 to 3 weeks or so. And now it is up to $1299 at Best Buy. Nobody undersells anyone else. Sony dictates the price. Amazon has the X90J for $1298 now. Also, it appears that Best Buy has made $1299 the regular price for the X90J now when a couple weeks ago they claimed that it was $1499 when it was on sale for $1199.
