FYI an actual physical cart! Not a code in a box. Wish I had waited now.

Another consideration to buy physical copies is in a few years when Nintendo decides to shut down the online marketplace servers for switch you'll never again be able to download your digital versions. They just announced that they are doing that to the Wii U and 3ds in 2023. Nintendo is really one of the most consumer unfriendly companies around.

Generally Nintendo games have good resale value so if you're ever interested in selling the games buy physical

I have a question for you. Which is better, in your opinion? Digital code or physical game? I'm still confused on this one myself. Thanks

Or if you would like to be able to share games easily with friends/family. Obviously the key advantage to digital is convenience.

Another consideration , games that have frequent pick up and play, like puzzle games, racing games, animal crossing, etc are better digital so you don't have to constantly swap cartridges. As an extreme example imagine if a game like tetris was a cart vs digital

Agreed. For most, I just see it as a rental fee. One day when I've not touched it in some time, I'll dump it. Sometimes I even come out a ahead but mostly if I get on here or secondhand, I don't lose anything on the exchange. Impossible to do with digital.

Sony did same thing (or at least tried to) for PlayStation and I assume MS will too

Nintendo's once a day drm check on digital games is what pushes me towards cartridges. I'm not terribly concerned with resale but when I'm on a flight, road trip, or anywhere else without internet access I hate not being able to play the games I bought. It burns me every time, board a flight, try to chill out with Stardew and can't because it needs to verify ownership online. Since the cartridges are so small it's easy to bring the games I want to play along in a smaller case and call it a day.
If it wasn't for their drm I'd probably be all digital for convenience.

This. So much this. We give up so many rights to companies because we're too damn lazy to get up to change a cartridge/bluray/CD (myself included). All that money goes down the drain. This is the second time that Nintendo has shuttered a digital store front. And it doesn't take that many years. Especially for as much money as you sink in to it.

One of the silver linings is this time around at least you'll be able to redownload games for the foreseeable future.

"Even after late March 2023, and for the foreseeable future, it will still be possible to redownload games and DLC, receive software updates and enjoy online play on Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems."

For me ALWAYS physical unless I am 500% sure I will keep the game forever or if the digital price is stupid low (for example Saints Row IV for $3). Digital has ZERO VALUE if you don't like it or do no longer want to play it. Like someone else stated used physical game have almost 100% of the same resale value of their new counterparts on eBay. If you buy on sale you can normally make a few dollars to 'rent' the game until you beat it. I have a revolving door of Switch games which has effectively costed me nothing.

Now, if you are buying for kids that lose things constantly....I can understand why digital might be the way to go. Growing up I had friends that could not keep track of NES games so I can only imagine how a less than careful 8 year old would do with a game the size of a half dollar. If I were a parent the thought of buying the same game 5 times would piss me off nor would I want the daily "OMG I CAN'T FIND IT" tantrum every time leaving the house.

Regarding the deal: Instant purchase, not a single thought. Racer was EPIC on N64 and PC. Never touched Republic Commando but that looks pretty cool too. OP needs a raise. I had no idea this bundle even existed.
