it all depends on how you play, do you play with the switch docked most of the time, if so, then no

do you play with the switch portably, then yes but only if you can sell the older version for a decent amount. the physical size of the old vs new is the same but the screen size is slightly larger, brighter screen, double the memory (32GB vs 64GB) and slightly better battery.
Also, supposedly a nintendo switch 2/pro version will be coming out this year/early next year (maybe)
