Got this monitor for this price back in December.
HDR is worthless, picture quality is good except darks. Occasionally drops signal and goes black before recovering a couple seconds later. Not sure if that is a monitor issue or if the included displayport cable is garbo. My Dell monitor turns on less than a second after going to sleep, but this one takes a couple of seconds. That took some getting used to.

Closest thing is the 27gp950, which is $900 (if you can find it in stock)
I had this exact problem except that at some point it never turned on again. Not only that, but it took forever to get Samsung to do anything and they only gave me in store credit. Avoid.

Will 4kp144 work with a M1 Macbook air? I just want less lag for desktop apps.

G70A at 545.99 w/ EDU plus $100 in Honey Gold. I am assuming this might be one of the best deals out there for a 4K 144hz IPS monitor?
The Honey Gold $100 cash back is not for G70A. Don't get confused with the $100 cash back for other Samsung monitors.

I just purchased the G70A with the Honey $100 cash back offer (already confirmed from honey via email) with all the other deals for $445 before tax.

It was $100 Gold for both G70A and G7 yesterday.

Been using my acer predator xb271hu for almost 5 years now with no issues. Just got a 3080 last year so this may be a good upgrade into 4k. No real Oled gaming size monitors out. Mini led's monitors are still pretty pricey. Still 445 pretax is a solid deal for the specs

Combining those two ends up being slick. Ended up doing that since I'm not sure I want a curved screen which the g7's provide. I would do the main deal of this thread, but more interested in 1440. Had just been watching all of the g7 series and noticed the drop this morning.
Comparing to others that frequently go on deal like dell 2721dgf for 300, the fair price on g70a should be 350-400 given the lack of decent hdr. This is overpriced.

I didnt know Honey when I bought a g70a.=/ I have used urlhasbeenblocked. They only gave me 1% for the monitor, but from now, I will use Honey
It is a solid good monitor. It worth the money. You also need to pair with a good GPU hehe.
It has an audio aux port.

I was wondering the same thing over the summer and ended up taking a chance with the Eve Spectrum. Preordered mine in July and ended up getting it in November and have had ZERO issues with it. gorgeous monitor and had literally every box checked for me. you'll see "hit or miss" reviews from the company as a whole but i personally had no issues with the order process or any lengthy delays. 100% satisfied with my Eve

Spectrum new – Eve (evedevices.com)
Eve spectrum is $800 + $100 if you want the stand + I believe I saw it was over $100 for shipping and it can take 4 months to arrive. Imo that is not worth it just to get hdr 600 given you can get this monitor for $545 - $100 from honey. You can buy two of these for the price of that, I would wait for a much better deal if you really want hdr600. Not to mention eve is dodgy af

On a pixel to pixel basis those two monitors are pretty similar. Similar contrast, response time, uniformity and color volume.

If we're using the S2721DGF as our basis, then ~$440 seems the right price for the G70a. 160ppi/109ppi is 1.47 x $300 is $441. So, EPP matched with $100 Honey is a matching deal.

Thanks for the info Smilie

Thank you Cinto and Juvey67. When I am not logged in with EPP it offers me 100$ at price of 650$. However when I am logged in with EPP it doesn't offer 100$ at the price of 546$. Did you guys used EPP or EDU with Honey cash back. I am wondering if they'll consider 100$ with EPP/EDU discount.

I see them when not logged in with EPP account. Once I logged in it shows me EPP discount price but honey doesn't offer 100$. Are you on the same boat?
It gave me the same issues, just try to activate the offer on your account. Make a new account if you have to.

It's odd because it will not give you any indication that it is activated. Instead, try to take screenshots of the deal on the Samsung item website. Then email them the details.
