Is there any model of the Switch console that isn't significantly flawed?
It looks like it depends on how you try to open the slot. Someone on Reddit had this to say;
"It was impossible for me to open it from the middle. It's a whole lot easier opening it from either corner.
I think the middle pushes inward when you try to open it so it makes it harder for your nail to catch it if your nails are short. The corners don't push in the same way."

I bought one for the gf as an Xmas gift. No issues from her at all, it is same model as well.
Keep checking Amazon. For about a month or two, they had these in stock every few days. It's been maybe a month since I've seen them on there, but they'll get more.
Always works well for me. Sounds more like user error.
