Just a heads up, there's an issue with some Legion 5 Pro laptops that prevents you from upgrading to latest Nvidia drivers:

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Gami...-p/5110623

The current thinking is that whether you'll have the problem or not depends on which version of the LCD panel you get (there are multiple manufacturers).

The current work arounds:
- Use old drivers, or
- Enable hybrid mode (which lowers gaming performance).

Still waiting on Lenovo or Nvidia to create a fix... it's been a few months.

You can get a further 12-15% ($204-$255) discount via a certain rebate site (with 'ten' in its name) which would bring the price down to an all time low of $1449.39.
According to members, the extension shows 12%, whereas if you avail it via their site, it's 15%.

You can also get an additional 5% off by registering at id. me if you're eligible for it.

If you don't need 32gb/2tb, the 16gb/1tb version is $1579 from anto ebay. Not as good of a deal if you count R10 as cash, but otherwise could be better deal.

FYI Ant Online's eBay price regularly drops to $1470. I picked my LP up from him a couple weeks ago. Fast shipping and great service. The laptop is great as well! I replaced the ram as recommended and I'm very happy with this gaming machine.

I own this laptop and it is absolutely worth it in my opinion but I am bias. I looked around for a very long time and this is perfect package because it's a max powered rtx 3070, nice cpu, good cooling, solid build and the super bright screen is a high refresh in QHD. If you don't need 32 gb of ram and 2tb ssd. I would look like for a lowered version.

A certain cashback site is now up to 15% in cashback on Lenovo for President's Day. Pretty sick.

I was able to stack my medical discount for another $87 in saving for final price of $1667 before tax. Plus you can try for 15%cashback ratuken.

Still a bit expensive though. If you can get the cheaper configuration with 16GB and 512GB from WM, it would still cost you less to upgrade to this configuration yourself.

Guess lenovo is trying to clear out all the 5800H before the 6800H

Why do gaming laptops all look like that? Do they have to look like they were found artifacts from an alien race on a Star Trek episode?

Dell actually has a gaming line called "Alienware". Lenovo's Legion line is already one of the less garish looking gaming laptops.

Looks like a normal black laptop to me. Do you mean the Y logo on the exterior? That can be covered up with a skin easily.

Legion 7 is better than the 5 Pro. Better build quality, glass trackpad, vapor chamber, thinner, etc.
