I always read the 1 star reviews to see what people are saying. My lord, people are outright dumb. "Too heavy", "food sticks", "discoloration", etc. Lord have mercy... It's stainless... It's supposed to be heavy, food will stick to it, and you'll get discoloration. Use barkeeper's friend, ya dolts. They should put a warning on the box in huge letters "Not designed for idiots".
There are no shortcuts to these pans, you start off on medium heat and then once the pan is warm-hot, put your butter or oil. There are tons of videos on YouTube showing how these should be used. I have fried egg and fish with out any sticking.

Well, for most things, sticking isn't too much of an issue if you don't 'flip' before there is some searing done. You've mentioned two examples of what not to cook in stainless steel. I keep two granite/nonstick pans for such purposes.

Clearance is expensive than coupon sale. Inflation or is this how Costco is ?

I thought 97 markdowns will be lower than coupon sales

Wow, you do realize this is 2022?
That the article from Fugal Hotspot is from Dec 2020?
And that inflation is cranking in at the highest levels since 1940?
So in my humble opinion yes INFLATION is correct.

So what do you do to stop food from sticking? I am not worried about cleaning being difficult... but when frying a fish or an egg i hate to see it getting stuck on the pan. Is this not suitable for that type of cooking?

It's 5 ply, so should be comparable to D5. I haven't used any, so don't have any opinion

Held these pots today at Costco…. SUPER HEAVY. Like unnecessarily heavy. Felt like I was lifting weights 😅😅
Good. Heavy + copper/aluminum = good cooking.

Only safe to 400degF so no broiler usage? Probably more wise to get 1x each of a quality frying pan and saute pan such as demeyere or all clad. If you dont care about matching sets, you can go with cheaper sauce pan and stock pot options. Costco is not known for great cookware

From the reviews, these pans have warping issues.

I see 400 degree when others are rated higher. why?

found this answer somewhere:
If your cookware is made entirely of stainless steel, though, it is generally safe for oven temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. This is especially true of higher-quality stainless steel, which is typically thicker and can better handle the heat
