I have no idea what you're basing your 'hypothesis' on, but I own a garage full of Dewalt shelves and they are ROCK SOLID! I have yet to encounter any sharp edge that cut me at every turn.

I'm not team dewalt either. I have a lot of their tools, but I also have milwaukee and makita too. I only bought these because they were on super cheap and they are light years better and more sturdy than the sams club/costco cheap-o stuff I was using.
This is regular price…
Weird design. Among other things, it seems like the legs should stop at the benchtop rather than going above it, where they would just get in the way.

This is a STEAL. This thing (although the instructions are awful) is very sturdy once built. The same casters that fit the dewalt shop stool fit this as well if you needed to make it mobile.

I thought the same, but then I saw in the reviews someone attached a dewalt 3 shelf storage unit on top. Does seem odd if you only have the bench, but I do like the idea of having them together to maximum space.

Novelty item.

In terms of use, it's an overpriced death trap full of sharp edges, and some type of magnetic attractant for rust.

The $199 is a good price compared to retail, but it's just not a practical bench. Mainly just for folks that are purely "Team Dewalt" and have every tool that almost never gets used, wall banners, and a lot of black & high vis yellow paint. You know... Like the people that use Facebook and are always posting different pictures of their shop space, on the tool pages, and think they got clout.

Lol... OK. I'm finished.

What a fantastic observation, thank you. I don't know how i didn't see that, but now that i do, i can see myself becoming very unhappy with those rails.

I suppose a more ambitious man could cut those rails off at the desired tabletop height, but I am not that man.

Repped!

These are set up to allow other units to work with them. Other shelves go on top. Or pegboard etc.

Thanx, I may snag one for my 3d printer. Seems to be sturdy.

This is a great buy. Especially for the Dewalt fan that needs a smaller work station. I have one and use it for small repairs like soldering, and "light duty" type tinkering. It's extremely sturdy and modular to work with other Dewalt shelving systems (only the smaller systems, not the large 6' shelves since the legs are larger on them). Not sure what the Dewalt hater is talking about regarding sharp edges and rust as I don't have that problem. The instructions are terrible and tiny but that seems pretty standard for anything you have to put together nowadays. I would snag another if I had the space for it.
