I think most of the gamers don't use those buttons. Moreover it eats some space on the right side where you usually have mouse.

Good while it works, but I went through 2 in 6 months that developed double key presses. Should have listened to the Amazon reviews.

They replaced mine also for double key press on 'e' and 'r' keys. Keep the receipt since there's a 2 year warranty. Getting a brand new replacement was easy.

Is there a reason why many gaming keyboards don't have a numpad?

I bought a Razer black widow v3 from Best Buy for like 60% off a year ago and I still regret my purchase. The quality control is terrible, and the software legitimately doesn't work half the time. Buy something else if you're looking for a good keyboard.

My experience is different. I have been using it for 2+ years. I faced the issue of a multi-key press but somehow it just went away and the software works fine for me. Yesterday they gave me the option to update ( and it has no issues as well)

Hi, I am not that familiar with Razer's products. What color switches are most similar to Cherry MX Browns?

Also, does this keyboard have to have a live connection to Razer all of the time? I hear things about their software needing to be constantly online. Is this true?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Not having the numpad gives you a little more mouse real estate

This happened on the older Blackwidow that I had from many years ago and I replaced it with this keyboard (but with the ten key).

I hope it doesn't happen on my current one!

Im a huntsman guy myself. Also prefer full keyboard. Personally don't understand why there's a tkl market
A lot of people don't need the number pad. I do web design, and I have used a TKL for years.

But what advantage is there to not have extra keys? Other than space saving

Saves space. Is also more comfortable especially while gaming with one hand on WASD and the other on the mouse to have them be closer together.

This is the ONLY reason and a legitimate one. I often bang my mouse against my keyboard when gaming and thus have been looking for TKL boards for awhile. Unfortunately, after my 2013 BlackWidow developed the double clicks, I don't think i can jump on this.
