These mainstay shelves are such crap quality. Pieces literally broke while putting it together.

I've seen them for $30 or less especially in the summer. I think that the store have been lying more about their prices to make people believe that its a good sale. These have never been more than the Target ones and those are $35 now. I bought the Walmart one and returned it because of how it connects. I need more than a plastic screw tohold it together.

The shelves start to sag in the center after a couple months. Doesn't matter the weight - I have books on one and Dvd/blurays on one and the center of the shelves sag on each. I think I bought em for 25 at walmart

Definitely trash. The backs that hold the piece together is like slightly tougher than a box, cardboard. The shelves bow and warp if you put like 2 books on them.

Christmas 2015 my ex sold his crap Walmart desk and 3 shelf bookcase, used for a year for $60.

One of the worst bookcases anyone can buy. It's so cheap, it couldn't even handle the weight of my Calculus textbooks. Better off buying used crap from Facebook Marketplace than buying this.
