I got one and kept it. It was slightly better than the laptop webcam. I have a home office and I thought the price was worth the convenience of not having to open the laptop every time I wanted to do a video conference.

I especially enjoy the huge microphone "grilles" on both sides that are actually just solid molded plastic with just two miniscule holes down at the bottom.

I don't mind cheap options, but don't try to dress it up like something more than it is. Give it some whimsical colors and a unique basic look and it will probably do better
