He won't because it doesn't exist. Regardless of what the salesperson says at MC, it isn't covered in writing. This has been beaten to death.
I always ask when people bring it up, in case they've changed it. But just like I thought, he got duped

That's great! Do you know which vendor it was? Thanks
I had 2 terrible experiences in a row from that same vendor (groan foot, store in Tennessee) and got no support. 1st bad TV thankfully I refused delivery when I saw the box looked banged up, 2nd was destroyed on the inside. Don't gamble with verde toe… ever. Not only is it not worth it, you're supporting a bad business.

I only had a good experience. Also they aren't selling you anything. It's like blaming eBay for a bad seller

I would be wary of buydig refurbs. I gambled and picked up the A80cj deal a few weeks ago and the screen was bent. Theres no way theses TVs are "certified refurbished" or in my case "manufacturer refurbished" it was more along the lines of a best buy open box return.

Sounds a lot like the sony oled deal. TVs were not refurbished at all, all sony tv's were store returns with problems. BuyDig is a scam. SD should not allow this crap.

The warranty on this is an absolute joke. Almost assured if problems do arise they will not cover it. Please do your research, this is absolutely a big gamble.

I accepted their offer of $1600 last week as well. Got shipping notification the next day and got the TV 3 days later. I'm in Southern California and it came from Nashville. TV and box came in perfect with no damage. Just hung it up last night and works perfectly. My first OLED and in love with it! Just registered it with LG as well for warranty with no issues.

Overall I'm happy with my experience with that certain website.
Do you know the manufacturing date of the TV you received?

LG warranty dept is a nightmare to deal with. Took me almost a year to get a refund for my old OLED with a bad panel. I'd go with a Sony OLED just to not have to deal with LG ever again.

Buying a refurbished TV is worse than taking sloppy seconds from your friend. $300 more you can buy a new TV that hasn't been returned, torn apart, put back together, and slapped with a 4 year warranty that is unlikely to even cover what is bad😂

Same here. I noticed the TV was insured for more than I paid. I think they are running a scam where they sell the same busted TV's over and over again and claim insurance payouts. There's no other reasons so many TV's are arriving damaged on arrival.

Is this TV overkill for a non-gamer? If so whats a good alternative?
No not overkill, this is in the premium OLED category which means it performs well in all categories, see here for comparison: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...ze/55-inch

I would recommend you find a deal on a new set because some of these could be returns due to tinting or uniformity issues.
