ARM processor, so most applications will be running in emulation mode. Have to wonder what that experience is like with pretty meager specs. Probably fine for web browsing and tasks similar to a Chromebook, but I wouldn't expect much past that.

Anyone know if Linux can be installed?

This laptop is horrible. I had one from Costco and returned it. I wasn't even able to update it.

My only use case for a laptop right now is to remote into work when travelling. I need Windows Remote Desktop though so this is actually tempting. I just have to decide if I want to spend $200 for something that meets my needs but is worthless for most everything else, or spend $400+ for something that does a lot, but is more than I need Smilie

This is such classic Slickdeals. Every time a laptop or desktop PC comes out, all the uber nerd nazis come out of the woodwork and complain about everything, nitpick, etc.

For $200 you are getting a non-chromebook, ultra light laptop with Windows, good battery life and USB-C charging.

What. Do. You. Expect for $200???????

I think this is plenty good for the average person out there who wants a light, portable machine to check email and browse the web and doesn't want to have to deal with losing/buying proprietary chargers.

Good point. Can you elaborate a little bit more on what the experience would be like?

Will most applications install but just be less performant? Or will they not install at all?

I'm not trying to get nerdy, it's just that a Snapdragon Windows laptop just seems really weird to me. I can see it being more handy than some of the other cheaper options, however. Maybe these have been around a while, I just haven't come across any until looking for a new laptop recently.

This would be much better as a Chromebook rather than a Windows laptop.

I think is useful, people to know that this 200 buck laptop has awful screen, bad user experience…

There are other laptops even in this price ranges with better user experience, specially in the chromebook realm
