Display is dim but passable
Nice keyboard and build quality - has been very stable
Pen/touch input options are nice
Great performance on the Ryzen processor
Speakers acceptable
No display output on the USB-C port (data sync and charging only)
When I was shopping for my other son, I ended up opting for the one below instead open box for a similar price (better build quality, more storage, and you get the display-out functionality on the USB-C port, which is huge if you want to use an external monitor or some kind of all-in-one docking solution with these things).

EDIT: I should add that I have Windows 10 on the original model and Windows 11 on the Yoga 6, and I much prefer Windows 10 so far.

They mute the screen brightness on these middle tier laptops.
You have to go up $200-300 to get 400 nits or more.
Hopefully, this will change in 5 years as tech advances and low brightness screens aren't made anymore, where high end laptops get 1000 nit and mid tier get 400-600 nit. Phones are 600 nit. this is also a battery issue as higher nit are power hungry.
I can second this. Hinge quality is terrible as the plastic around the hinge cracks. Our laptop is basically a desktop now.

Me too, bought a Lenovo a few years back. First the screen failed which they repaired under warranty, the hinge failed shortly after the warranty lapsed.
I had a terrible experience with Lenovo. Absolutely horrible customer support. Bought a lenovo laptop a few years ago and it was Defective. Blue screen when it got warm (not hot). They delayed and delayed doing an exchange. Finally I returned it. Got a refund. Not for the MS Office license though, since I opened the envelope., though I never installed it. The Office license was tied to Lenovo and could not be installed on another machine. MF'ers ripped me off $125.
Meanwhile I've had 3 Dells that have last 6+ years. Just swapped in faster/larger drives and added RAM. My current Dell was purchased in late 2016. I'm shopping for a new Dell because I spilled a full cup of coffee on this one. Now one USB port is shot…
