since verizon took over, tracfone went to shit completely.
I activated a new card to extend my service date, but they completely zeroed out my balance. They refuse to help. Now I have filed multiple complaints with BBB, FTC, FCC, FL attorney general office.
Tracfone did NOT respond, but decide to close my account. Then someone else is on the process of porting my phone # out without my consent. I contacted TracFone, and they don't care and continued the port out.

I just had bad experience with Total Wireless (owned by TracFone and hence Verizon) recently. I returned my order over a month ago but still didn't receive refund. I made several phone calls to them already, I think credit card dispute will be my last resort.

DO NOT waste time talking/chating with their customer service people, which are located in the Philippines. ALWAYS ask if they are in the Philippines, and if they are, just hang up.
This company pay them like $200 a MONTH, so they can afford to waste your time. That's why you don't waste your time speaking with them.

Instead, file Complaints with: bbb.org, ftc.gov, fcc.gov, and attorney general office of FL http://myfloridalegal.com/contact...n_Services

StraightTalk/TotalWireless/TracFone is based in FL, but Verizon purchased them, and Verizon is based in NY and NJ. So that means you should also file the above 4 complaints again, now using Verizon NJ and Verizon NY. In total, you should have 4 complaints x 3 locations = 12 complaints. Don't file it all at once, space it out over a few days.

If you file the complaints above, they go to their US office, so you are wasting the company's expensive employee time in the US. One issue now just turned into 12 complaints that their corporate office have to deal with. They do not need to reply to bbb.org complaint, but they do need to reply to those from the gov agencies. Also, by filing complaints on the gov site, you are letting the gov know how bad the company is.

If you are waiting for a refund, go file credit card dispute immediately. The payment processor will charge the merchant additional $20 to $50 every time there is a dispute. This will teach the seller that their stupidity just costed them even more money.

List of Attorneys that works for TracFone. Make sure to call ALL of them, the Office and Cell, and send email to all of them.

bro this is Slickdeals not a complaint board. Sorry about the bad experience you had and letting us know, but like with any purchase there is inherent risks you have. If you already used a CC, that should be enough for most incidents. Especially with you sharing various corporate emails, and the copy pasting across threadw, you may inherently just worsen the (albeit) weak efforts of company support.

I have bought two refurbished A51 from Tracfone, both were in great condition but one of them couldn't get activated, spent 4-5 hours with CS and still not sorted out. Requested a return via eBay and waiting for response.

Here is the thing, customer service and how much of a hassle things are IS part of the deal. Further "executive carpet bombing" and government complaints work and if that is what it takes to get satisfaction it isn't the fault of anyone but the company. If they don't like it they have options - specifically improve the customer experience.

Was able to unlock my A51 today via the web form [tfwunlockpolicy.com]. Entered in my phone's IMEI where it asks for "serial number," put in my phone number and email in the next page and the system automatically generated two unlock codes for me. I was able to unlock no problems. Easy.
