Yep! I know Yamaha makes a decent and inexpensive 2.1 receiver that has Bluetooth - it's $170 or so at best buy. You would also need speaker cable, but that can be had for $15 ish on Amazon.

The speakers are NOT powered, so that adapter you linked wouldn't work.

I have the Andrew Jones and got 590s to replace them. Imaging was so much better on the JBL. For 590s, their frequency response was light years better on the low end. I also have 530s which, to me, still sound better. I actually have a pair 530s sitting on my Pioneer speakers as speakers stands. The 570 is comparable to the 530s but in a tower format, if I am not mistaken. Tldr: they are a better speaker.

Very new to home audio so might sound dumb, but I'm using a Bose sound revolve Bluetooth speaker to listen to music in my home office and want something better.

What would I need to get this speaker working out of the box? For me I just stream music over the iphone to my Bluetooth speaker so that's all I want to do. I'm guessing just get a budget friendly Bluetooth enabled A/V receiver and plug it into the speaker?

Edit: Can I skip buying a receiver altogether and just get one of these Bluetooth adapters and plug it straight into this JBL speaker?

Thank you

Anyone know how they compare to Pioneer Andrew Jones?

You would need some kind of amplifier (depending on how many speakers you have, a 2.0 amplifier on Amazon can be had for $50-$70) or a receiver.

For a home office, these might be a bit much (these are floor standing, tower speakers), but I'm sure they would sound great.

Do you have specific speakers models from pioneer in mind?

Sensitivity(2.83V@1m) 88dB

Frequency Response(-6dB) 45Hz-40kHz

Nominal Impedance6 ohms

I see 88d with 6 ohms, isn't THX looking for 104db, isn't it more stress on a/v receiver to drive these unless a separate external amplifier?1@

The low sensitivity will affect how loud these will get but honestly, I run 530s on an old Sony 5.1 receiver and they get plenty loud. I have another pair running off of a 30 watt amp and they still get loud enough, but definitely limited in that scenario.

Not really, unless your target room is a church or a cathedral. For normal sized living rooms, any standard AVR has enough juice to power them.

If you wanted to skip the receiver, you can get a pair of powered Monitors, they will work with a bluetooth adapter. JBL 305P, etc.
