Comply foam ear tips.
How often do you replace them? I read from Comply that you're supposed to replace them every month if you use them regularly. That seems too expensive to me.

I haven't had to yet. You get three pairs with the package. I don't see much damage. If you use it carefully, you should be good for a while. You can also get Sony tips from encompass website.

I bought these and returned them same week (would have been same day if it was local)

If you are a samsung galaxy owner (note, s series, fold)-these headphones SUCK. they dont utilize HD codecs (Aptx, LDAC etc)

i dont know how these operate on iphones but the sound stage was very dull and my 3 year old samsung buds (non pro) were superior in sound quality and noise cancelling via thick ear foam LMAO

What a shame, I love sony headphones otherwise

Cliffnotes: I do not recommend Sony XM4 if you are a samsung/galaxy phone owner
Turn on developer mode on your samsung phone

I'd believe that, but like i mentioned, somehow Samsung galaxy dont get along with these due to codecs not working and Sony does not include -aptx hd- in MX4 (these buds) WHICH IS A HUGE MISS on sony's part and the output of sound is therefore bluetooth 3.0, LOW (44kpbs)
No APTX isn't even a big deal, used these with both my Note20 and iPhone 12 Max, and they sounded great. Sony uses its own LDAC which if it didn't call for setup automatically you can simply download the app yourself, it's called Sony 360 Reality Audio. In this app it'll also list all the streaming music services like Tidal, Spotify, Deezer, ect.. It tells you to pick which ones you're subscribed to and it takes a couple minutes to do it's little conversion process on each of your subscribed services.. so music sounds awesome, on both iPhone and Note.
Lol.. you seriously think that Sony's going to make a stupid mistake like that and not include Samsung's with their buds? At least 30% of all phones in the world are Samsung's, you think Sony's going to make a product that excludes all those phones? That's just stupid, limiting your product like that for no reason, lol.. At the same time these are highly reviewed by just about everybody, yet you're the only one with the warning, you never stopped to wonder why that is?? Lol.. with a quick search the solution is right there, whoops might be good to dive into technology with a couple partners that are more into troubleshooting than tossing in the towel so quickly. That never does anyone any good. If you're warning was to truly help others, I assume you can imagine someone like yourself seeing what you wrote, believing it and avoiding these fabulous ear buds, not knowing any better. If it was me, I'd revise my comment since it is at the beginning of this thread which many do end up reading it so hopefully you'll fo the right thing, we'll just have to wait and see..

Beware that some of these buds have a "ringing" issue while listening to audiobooks or calls. This is not noticeable while listening to music and can only be heard during the above use cases.

If you get a good pair, these are the best ANC IEMs in the market right now and are well worth the price.
Thanks for the info. Do you know if a low percentage of these are affected or more like 50%?

No idea. It seems like it is a hardware issue because of the mic creating a feedback, but no one knows what percentage of these buds have this issue.

I returned a pair with this issue. New pair works great

These absolutely support ldac on my OnePlus 8T. You may need to change settings somewhere.

No Apple products of any kind support ldac.

Expecting high quality sound from Bluetooth is the first place you went wrong.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and previously had Note20 Ultra and Note10+. LDAC should work on it. Try this:
  1. Turn on the earbuds
  2. Open the Sony app
  3. Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings
  4. Turn on LDAC
I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic
How's the ultra with these? I'm patiently waiting for mine to ship while wife got hers 1 month early.

Am I to understand that these do not have multi-device connectivity?
