Tempting... looks like generic toner is available at reasonable cost. Many OK but not great reviews though. I have a very old color dell c1765nfw that may have to keep going a while longer.

Due to their firmware update, many generic toners can't work anymore.
I bought a new 3270cdw last month, and fw is newest. Not sure about the refurbished ones.

Yeah it's pissing me off whatever they are doing. This man made problem is unnecessary and ruins the experience in the name of profit. Sickening.

don't buy a refurbished brother color printer, I had to return mine due to defective drums. There is a reason why there are so many refurbished brother color printers for sale but none from canon.
