On the manufacturing side, quality control, probably yes. However, Invicta brought to Glycine the pathetic marketing ploy of inflating the prices 75% so they can market it as perpetually always on sale from 75% to 85%. Look at the outlets selling Glycine and Invicta. They all ridiculously look the same. $800 watch on sale for $79. $1,000 on sale for $250. This post is no different. Pricing integrity just is not part of Invicta's culture.

Meh, the consensus is that Invicta has mostly left Glycine alone (luckily).

Invicta has allowed Glycine to make watches independently from what Invicta does. Swatch group has brands ranging from Swatch all the way up to Omega. Nobody thinks Omega is junk because they are owned by swatch.

FWIW Invicta bought Glycine back in 2016. From chatting with experts and reading articles the quality has gone down. Not saying these are bad watches but Invicta buying them wasn't good for the brand.

Sw200 movement (what theirs is based on) is pretty standard in this price point, the msrp of $3400 is super inflated.

Nice watch, but not a 3k+ watch, certainly not after they got bought out by invicta

Great deal on a good looking GMT watch. Picked up the Black dialed version on the bracelet. Sellita based movement is solid. At that price you really can't go wrong.

SW200 doesn't come in GMT. If it is a Selitta, then it is an SW330 or similar.

This is a reasonable price for a watch with an automatic Swiss GMT movement.

This model is fairly new.

Sounds like the GL293 movement can be a ETA 2893-2 or Sellita SW330 depending on when it was produced. Since this one is listed as 25 jewels it should be the Sellita based unit. UPDATE: Sorry folks but I wrote that wrong the ETA 2893-2 is the 25 jewel setup an the SW330 is the 26 jewel version, so this is actually the ETA based unit.

Funny how the watches have Kiev and Moscow right next to each other. Depending on what happens with the war, the watch could go up in value.

I have purchased 1 early Glycine before the buyout and 3 afterward.

I have been thrilled with the amount of quality you get for the price. They are fantastic. In fact, they are so good that they are now the brand I recommend for people who ask me "I'm looking for my first 'nice' watch under $1000".

The bang for the buck you get with these really is unbeatable.
