This matches a previous FP post, but that was 3 months ago. A few things people may find helpful:
  • The panel is pretty crappy [panelook.com], with 45% NTSC
  • You can undervolt by just enabling it in the BIOS out of the box, don't need any tools to edit bits and flags
  • The Costco unit I got came with single rank Samsung memory, and Samsung VRAM on the 3060
  • The Costco unit I got came with a Micron 2210 QLC [micron.com] SSD
  • The GE76 has a fairly premium build and is generally in the same class as the Alienware X17 and the Legion 7 quality wise, though form factors obviously differ.
  • The CPU thermals are a bit underwhelming for a laptop its size (only two heatpipes [youtube.com]). Much better than something like the Dell G15, but short of what the Legion 7 offers.
  • Two m.2 slots, two SODIMMs, and WiFi card are all swappable

I seen these at my local Wearhouse last weekend. They are very nice laptops but its sad that 1 year ago I picked up the GE75 with the i7 and 2070 for I believe $1300. I keep holding out for a 3070 version of the GE3070 but the only one i seen was nearly $2k.
Covid Tax I suppose.
