Wow great deal on a very unique jigsaw! I've heard wonderful things about this tool. I think the form factor lends itself to very comfortable, none-complex cuts. Awesome deal for $114!

Thanks OP, in 4 1. Battery automatically was ship to home, canceled item right away, should be able to pick up the tool tomorrow. Had a $15 off $100 coupon that worked, tool was $105.22 plus tax, $112.19 all in.

The coupons do give some discount on hackable deals, but are split between the items. As rare as HD coupons are, you may be better off saving them for non-hack orders.

I get that, but for some reason I have been getting them at least every month for the past 6 months. All different amounts, $30 off $300, $15 off $125. I just used a $25 of $150 last weekend and then this $15 off $100 came in a few days ago. I wouldn't have had another excuse to use it by the 3/9 expiration date.

I didn't as far as I know. The only thing I can think is that I use them whenever I get them and some algo keeps sending them because they know I can't resist. I did not use the $30 off $300, but they get me pretty much every time.

Had this in my cart for a while waiting for a sale like this. Before pulling the trigger I watched just a few more videos and discovered --

This jigsaw doesn't use a trigger to activate the blade. It uses a switch! Which means that if I want to turn it off I have to reach over to a part of the tool my hand isn't already touching, and turn it off. For safety purposes, I want a trigger.

Guess I'm still waiting for their regular jigsaw to go on sale.

I think you are right, the product description on HD seems to be wrong:
"Precisely control blade speed up to 3,200 SPM with the variable speed trigger and dial"

I own the D-Handle model and the variable speed trigger is very helpful. Was hoping this one would be the same.

I would be all over this but I too think I would hate not having a trigger.

I have this jigsaw and have used it a bit. It's heavy, which is both good and bad. Very stable and doesn't "bounce", but also gets a bit tiring for longer cuts if not supported. I don't have a problem with the switch vs trigger, but with you guys talking about a variable speed trigger I want one of them now, also!!

The battery and saw are added to my cart as one item for $199. Will this be an issue in trying to return the battery?

You won't be able to hack that. If you add the tool only (the one with the picture that says free kit with purchase or whatever) it will automatically add the power stack kit to your cart as a separate item. You can tell it's hackable if both the jigsaw and power stack kit have their price listed separately, with each price reduced so the total is $199. Then you can safely return/cancel the power stack kit. Good luck!

Thanks but for some reason can't get it to split items. Hitting tool only with the pic of free battery then hitting add both to cart button. I've been able to do it in the past but not this time. Maybe it's the gods telling me I don't need another Dewalt cordless tool.
